A flat-pack box holds about two hours of your evening. We build beds, wardrobes, desks, dressers, bookcases and shelving across Charlotte, and the cardboard leaves with us.
What gets built
Beds and bed frames, wardrobes and closet systems, desks and office furniture, dressers, bookcases and shelving, dining tables and chairs, outdoor furniture and cribs. Shelves that go straight onto the wall rather than coming out of a box are general handyman work. Gym equipment is heavier and taller than the box suggests, so racks, trainers and treadmills have a page of their own.
Why it is worth handing over
Flat-pack instructions assume every panel is square and every dowel seats first time. In practice a wardrobe has a hundred fixings, and one panel facing the wrong way means taking half of it apart again. We do this daily, so the piece goes together once.
Anchoring, which the instructions gloss over
Tall furniture is a tip-over risk, and the strap in the box is only as good as what it is screwed into. We find the stud rather than trusting drywall alone. That matters most with small children in the house.
What it costs
